1. Dosage Principles for SFR-Si907:

As a flame-retardant synergist, the recommended addition level is typically 0.5–1.0%, and it is not advised to exceed 2%.

It must be used in combination with a primary flame retardant to achieve a UL94 V-0 rating.


2. Synergistic Flame-Retardant Systems:

PC Systems: The combination of SFR-Si907 with KKS or KFR-5100 delivers optimal performance.

Brominated Flame-Retardant Systems: SFR-Si907 + antimony trioxide exhibits significant synergistic effects.

Halogen-Free Flame-Retardant Systems: SFR-Si907 + phosphorus-based flame retardants improves char-forming efficiency.


3. Recommended Processing Guidelines:

Pre-drying: PC or PC alloys should be dried at 120–130°C for 4–6 hours.

Processing Temperatures: Approximately 280–300°C for PC; about 240–270°C for PC/ABS.

Mixing Method: It is recommended to first prepare a masterbatch of SFR-Si907 with the primary flame retardant, followed by compounding with the base resin.
