Formulation for Halogen-Free Flame Retardant PC/ABS

2026-01-17 10:10:43

PC/ABS blends are commonly used in automotive interior parts, office equipment, and appliance housings. Their modification requires balancing flame retardant efficiency, mechanical properties, processing stability, and compliance with environmental regulations. The following formulation utilizes a "phosphorus-silicon" synergistic system to achieve efficient halogen-free flame retardancy for PC/ABS. The silicon-based component employs our SFR-Si907 silicone flame retardant synergist.

PC: 60-70%

ABS: 10-20%

SFR-Si907: 0.5-1%

Phosphorus-based Flame Retardant: 10-15%

Anti-dripping Agent (e.g., K-PT205): 0.4-0.6%

Lubricant & Antioxidant: 0.1-0.2% each

Note: The actual formulation should be adjusted based on specific application requirements, regulatory restrictions, and processing conditions. Small-batch testing and evaluation are recommended.
